Fill your plate with antioxidants!  Specifically beta-carotene (apricots, broccoli, cantaloupe, carrots, collards, peaches, pumpkin, spinach, sweet potato), vitamin C (blueberries, broccoli, grapefruit, kiwi, oranges, peppers, potatoes, strawberries, tomato) & vitamin E (margarine, nuts & seeds, vegetable oils, wheat germ).
Molecules called free radicals are produced during normal bodily functions & can have damaging effects on the body, specifically contributing to aging & dysfunction.  Antioxidants have been proven to combat free radicals & take away most of their destructive power.
